Fostering an Entrepreneurial Spirit comes to life at the Maastricht Centre for Entrepreneurship, Maastricht University. Not just for economics and business, but for all branches of study, our aim is to challenge our students to behave entrepreneurially. We will do this with inspiring entrepreneurs, investors and academics.
In September 2007 Maasrticht University introduced its MSc IB programme in Entrepreneurship at the Maastricht University School of Business & Economics. In the coming years we will extend entrepreneurship education at both bachelor and master level accross the whole university. For example, in September 2009 we will introduce a 18/30 ECTS university-wide Minor in Entrepreneurship.
Our activities are grouped in four pillars where we aim to INSPIRE, EDUCATE, CREATE and GROW students and ventures.
Our support to students includes helping them to start their own company. One of our initiatives aimed at company creation is our annual €20k Business Plan Competition for female students. It is a unique competition for which the best business plan is rewarded with € 20,000,-. Through this competition we aim to encourage more women to opt for an entrepreneurial career.
