Student enterprises

Many students at Maastricht University act on their entrepreneurial spirit. Not only in their studies, but also by starting up ventures. This is usually an extremely rewarding experience, and not only financially! We have a created the Young Entrepreneurs Society Maastricht, a LinkedIn group for students who run serious businesses.

 
 
 
 

Midd.ag

was founded by three Maastricht University students. Their diverse backgrounds in business administration and graphic design allow them to provide professional services. Websites should go beyond aesthetics; they should be instrumental to the client’s business objectives.

Graphic Violence

was co-founded by a Maastricht University student, together with two friends (one is enrolled at the Delft University of Technology and the the other is enrolled at the Eindhoven University of Technology) with the aim to deliver custom made yet affordable web designs. Graphic Violence serves both small and large accounts.

Braineo

was founded by a student at Maastricht University. The academic consultancy firm provides organisations with, among others, workshops in creative thinking, emotional intelligence and trendwatching. Trough use of both proprietary and other well established tools and methods, Braineo facilitates the co-reation of new perceptions, ideas and solutions.

Business Associates Europe

was co-founded by two students from Maastricht University. The company has its headquarters in Bonn, Germany. It is a student-run, for-profit, academic consultancy firm that executes projects for clients to help them overcome their everyday business challenges by hiring students to get this job done. We go beyond consulting by offering a brand new and unique case challenge solution.

BrainEffect

has been co-founded by a Maastricht student and provides nature-based dietary supplements for brain health and mental performance. The founders goal is to bridge the gap between harmful brain boosters on the one hand and conventional caffein products on the other. BrainEffect products are available at the official online store and in select pharmacies across Europe.

Companies founded and co-founded by alumni

Of course, Maastricht University alumni started ventures before our Centre was founded. Some of them have become well-known players in their respective industries. We have a created the Alumni Entrepreneurs Society Maastricht, a LinkedIn group for former students of Maastricht University who run serious businesses.

Jurofoon

is the Dutch Legal First Aid company: direct legal advice by phone and online as well as further legal support, representation and insurance with 10-50% discount. Jurofoon services both consumers and companies in a range of legal domains. The company was co-founded by three Maastricht University alumni.

MKB Servicedesk

is an agile company that serves thousands of Dutch small- to medium-sized enterprises. Its services range from recruitment, legal advice, fiscal and accounting services to insurance and housing. The company was founded by a Maastricht University alumnus.

Spam Experts

was cofounded by three Maastricht University alumni. It is an innovative antispam consultancy and implementation enterprise. In-house developed technologies are based on self-learning and networking effects that provide for the elimination of annoyances and costs incurred by spam. SpamExperts aims to accomplish its goals by openly communicating, while being flexible and responsible. Spam Experts has its headquarters in Maastricht, the Netherlands. With people working at different venues around the world and with clients in more than 100 countries, SpamExperts Corporation can truly be regarded as a multinational organization.

Tudou

was co-founded by an Maastricht Universty alumnus. It is one of the largest video sharing websites in China, where users can upload, view and share video clips. It is one of the world’s largest bandwidth users, and streams more minutes of video than YouTube. Tudou was started on a shoestring with a raw technology team, practically in a garage. It was initially self-financed but subsequently attracted over $85 million in venture capital.

Social Games

Observer was co-founded by a Maastricht alumnus in 2009 and is the first European blog to report industry news about the highly dynamic social games, social networks and game monetization markets.With a strong focus on the European market, Social Games Observer provides relevant news for game and app developers as well as publishers. The B2B Blog reports from trade shows around Europe and conduct interviews with industry insiders in order to keep the industry informed about the latest products and ideas.
